Mrs. Flossie Mae Honeycutt Marlow, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Concord First Assembly, The Village at 280 Concord Parkway, South, Suite 15. Pastor Tom Whidden will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm, Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of Jerold Marlow, 1517 Cripple Creek Road, Kannapolis, NC.
Mrs. Marlow was born on October 7, 1925 in Rowan County. She was the daughter of the late Elder Brown Honeycutt and Florence Ellen Castor Honeycutt. Mrs. Marlow was a member of Concord First Assembly and the Golden Couples Club. She was active in the Missionette Program at Concord First Assembly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on June 20, 2012, Cecil McKinley Marlow; daughter-in-law, Sharon S. Marlow; half-brothers, Farrell Sloop and Hoyle Sloop and half-sister, Ollie Crouch.
Mrs. Marlow is survived by her daughter, Peggy Vlass of Kannapolis; sons, Jerold Marlow and wife Kathy of Kannapolis and Ronald Marlow of Lake James; grandchildren, Jay Marlow of Asheville, Joni Hedrick and husband Mark of Morganton, Dr. Justin Marlow and wife Ashley of Kannapolis and Jinny Baker and husband Dr. Jim Baker of Johnson City, TN; great grandchildren, Desmond Hedrick, Joshua Marlow, Hannah Marlow and Jacob Baker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Missionette Program, Concord First Assembly Worship Center, 150 Warren C. Coleman Blvd. North, Concord, NC 28027.
