Floyd Eugene Burnett

Mr. Floyd "Butch" Eugene Burnett, Sr., 68, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Monday, April 9 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Marler Starnes will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 12:00 pm Monday prior to the service.

Mr. Burnett was born November 25, 1943 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of Murry Lee Burnett and Ruth Caroline Furr Burnett. He retired from Fieldcrest Cannon Mills as the supervisor of the weave room at Plant #4.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Floyd Eugene Burnett, Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Ann Starnes and brother, Melvin Lee Burnett.

Mr. Burnett is survived by his wife of fifty years, Toni Nicholson Burnett; daughter, Anita Brock and husband Dale of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Amber Brock Faulkner and husband Jason, Keisha Brock and Floyd E. "Tripp" Burnett, III; great grandchild, Peyton Faulkner and brother, Earl L. Wayne Burnett and wife Pat Of Kannapolis.
