Frances Nell Price Clay

Mrs. Frances Nell Price Clay, 82, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James Griffith will officiate. Interment will be at the VA National Cemetery in Salisbury, on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm Thursday December 7, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Clay was born October 5, 1935 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Julius Rance Price and Essie Mae Flowers Price. She retired from the Cabarrus County School System where she was a substitute teacher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Clay, Sr., in June 2010.

Mrs. Clay is survived by two sons, Robert W. Clay, Jr. and wife Sandra of Joshua, TX and Trent Clay and wife Amy of Kannapolis; sister, Margaret Coffey of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Crystal Clay Ivey and husband John and Eric Clay; a great granddaughter, Hannah Leigh Ivey; and great grandson, Carter William Ivey.
