Frank Leroy Eidson

Mr. Frank "Leroy" Eidson, 76, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Monday, August 22, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Frank Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Eidson was born September 16, 1934 in Kannapolis. He was the son of the late William Baxter Eidson and Estelle Eagle Eidson Angel. He retired from the Kannapolis Sanitary District. He was a veteram of the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Faynell Davis. Mr. Eidson is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wanella Jones Eidson; four daughters, Rose Marie Futch and husband, Michael of Rockwell, Sherlena Wright of TX, Bonnie Dannette Breedlove of Raleigh and Tessie Elizabeth Whitehead and husband, Chris of TX; two sons, Billy Lee Eidson of Albemarle and Damon Leroy Eidson and wife, Leslie Marie of Kannapolis; three sisters, Jane Kirk, Ann Wayne and Kay Hammill; seventeen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
