Franklin Dale Aldridge, 52, of Orphanage Road, Concord, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2009, at New Gilead Reformed Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of Carolyn Aldridge, 550 Aldridge Farm Road, Concord. Born January 23, 1957 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Billie Frank "Red" Aldridge and Faye Freeze Aldridge. Dale was a 1975 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School. He was employed for 28 years in the bleachery at the former Pillowtex Mill. He also farmed and was a member of the North Carolina Cattlemen's Association, Carolinas Brahman Breeders Association and the Santa Gertrudis Association. He was a member of New Gilead Reformed Church. His hobbies included attending rodeos, hunting and fishing. He is survived by a sister, Denise Aldridge of the home.
