Franklin Delano Roosevelt Chisholm

Mr. Franklin "Frank" Delano Roosevelt Chisholm, 77, a resident of the Jackson Park Community in Kannapolis passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Transitional Health Services. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Jackson Park United Methodist Church. Rev. Neal Brower and Rev. Larry Barden will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. The body will lie in-state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service on Thursday. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Mr. Chisholm was born March 15, 1933 in Hamlet, NC. He was a son of the late Charles Sank Chisholm, Sr. and Martha Ridenhour Chisholm. He retired from Western & Southern Insurance Agency where he worked in Salisbury and Kannapolis. He was a lifetime member of Jackson Park United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class. He was also a member of the Emmanuel Emmaus Community and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Cobb Chisholm, in February 2009; two brothers, Charles S. Chisholm, Jr. and John "Jack" Chisholm; and two sisters, Gerry C. Martin and Cornelia C. Gibbons. Mr. Chisholm is survived by a daughter, Jo Anne Golaz of Joshua, TX; two sons, Mike Chisholm of Kannapolis and Tim Chisholm and wife Tamara of Rockwell; two sisters, Helen Logan and Molly Barnard, both of Raleigh; and two granddaughters, Melissa Everett of Joshua, TX and Ashlyn Hunsucker and husband Sam of Rogersville, MO. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the nurses and staff of Transitional Health Services � 200 Hall and Davita Dialysis of Kannapolis for all of their love, care and support. Memorials may be sent to Jackson Park United Methodist Church, 715 Mable Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
