Gary Lee Nix

Mr. Gary Lee Nix, 70, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, April 27, 2017.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, May 1, 2017, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. J. Rodney Quesenberry will officiate.

Mr. Nix was born February 6, 1947 in Akron, OH. He was the son of the late Thomas Lester Nix and Cordie Anderson Nix. He worked for the City of Charlotte as a city transportation maintenance supervisor.

Mr. Nix is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ellen Shaver Nix; two daughters, Angela Harward and Jessica L. Nix, both of Concord; three grandchildren, Christopher Harward and wife Kassie, Mary Harward and Suzanne Harward; five great grandchildren, Makenzie Forren, Braxton Harward, MaKayla Helms, Natalie “Paige” Harward and Benjamin Harward, all of Concord; and two cousins, Lorene and Paul Gurley of Gold Hill.
