George Stewart David

Mr. George Stewart "Buddy" David, 66, of 211 Ridge Avenue, Salisbury, died Thursday April 1, 2010 at his home. Mr. David was born in Cabarrus County on October 28, 1943. His parents were the late Lord Kern David and Christine Stewart David. He was a 1962 graduate of A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis and later attended Evans Business College. He formerly worked as a nursing assistant at NorthEast Medical Center in Concord. Survivors include his wife, Alice Pinion David; three daughters, Leanne Furches and husband Wade and Deana Thompson and husband Allen of Salisbury, Kelly Baker and husband Jay of Spencer; a son Jason David and wife Julie of Kannapolis; a step-daughter Cathy Thomas of Concord; a step-son, Ray Yow of Concord; 10 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Stafford of Salisbury. Memorials may be made to Midway United Methodist Church, 108 Bethpage Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081. A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
