George Ervin Earley

Mr. George Ervin Earley, 72, of 570 Earley Street, Kannapolis, died Sunday, August 4, 2002, at his residence following a sudden illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Greg Pierce will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Earley was born November 14, 1929 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Charlie Lee Earley and Emma Belle Dayvault Earley. He was a member of Lane Street Baptist Church. He retired from Carolina Freight and was an Army Veteran having served in Korea. Mr. Earley is survived by his wife, Faye Hartness Earley; one step-daughter, Sherry Lambert and her husband, Butch, of Kannapolis; one step-son, Randy Hartness and his wife, Patti, of Landis; three brothers, Joe Earley of Landis, Charles Earley of Salisbury, Gene Earley of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters, Mary Earley Price and Voida Belle Earley Hilton both of Kannapolis; five step-grandchildren, Joshua, Chris, and Stacey Hartness, Steven and Todd Ward; two step-great grandchildren.
