Georgia Mae Arbitman

Mrs. Georgia Mae Thompson Arbitman, 79, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Tucker Hospice House.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Salisbury National Cemetery. Rev. Jim Pittman will officiate.

Mrs. Arbitman was born on January 10, 1935 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Wardie Thompson and Annie Belle Tillman Thompson. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Willow Brook Hospital in New York before retiring.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irving Arbitman.

Mrs. Arbitman is survived by two brothers, Willie “Bill” Thompson of Kannapolis and Wardie Leon Thompson of Charlotte.
