Gladys Beaver

Mrs. Gladys Cruse Beaver, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Big Elm Nursing Center.

A graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm, Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Pastor Tom Whidden will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 pm, Thursday, prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beaver was born on December 6, 1928 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Chester M. Cruse and Helen Miller Johnson. She worked for Cannon Mills in the spinning room of plant #1. She was a member of Concord First Assembly Worship Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Henry Beaver and brothers, Charles Robert Cruse, Claude Malcolm Cruse, William Harold Cruse and Gerald Wayne Cruse.

Mrs. Beaver is survived by her daughters, Susan Beaver Livengood and JoAnne Beaver Plott; son, Henry "Tony" A. Beaver; brother, Ben Thomas Cruse of Ohio; half-brothers, Gerald Wayne Cruse and Bruce Wilson Johnson; four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
