Gladys Carpenter Brown

Mrs. Gladys Carpenter Brown, 100, a resident of Avante at Concord, and formerly of Kannapolis, died Sunday, September 18, 2005, at the nursing center. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2005, at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. Born May 7, 1905 in Stanly County, she was a homemaker. Her husband, Paul Brown, preceded her in death. Survivors include a great-niece, Sandy Griffin Schuyler and husband, Eddie, of Kannapolis; and a nephew, Jerry Wayne Griffin of Stanfield.
