Gladys "Faye" Ward

Gladys Faye Phillips Ward, 73, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church. Rev. Jimmy Barnhill will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm Thursday at the church prior to the service. .

Mrs. Ward was born July 21, 1941 in Royston, GA. She was the daughter of the late Wilburn Thomas Phillips and Eliza Louise Adams Phillips. She retired from the sheet department of Pillowtex.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Perry Phillips; sister, Barbara Phillips; and daughter, Lori Ward Brooks.

She is survived by her husband Willard Ward; three children, Tony Ward of Kannapolis, Teresa Roberts and husband, Mark, and Jeffery Ward and wife, Leta, all of China Grove; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
