Gladys Fay Wensil

Mrs. Gladys Fay Hilton Wensil, 82, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Raiford will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home prior to the service.

Mrs. Wensil was born on July 4, 1930 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Sidney Jacob Hilton and Fannie Willis Hilton. She was a member of Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church. Fay enjoyed walking and visiting with her neighbors. She also liked to shop and go to flea markets. Fay was a devout Christian whom loved and supported her family.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for the care given to Mrs.Wensil.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Hazel Overcash and two brothers, Ralph & Ray Hilton.

Mrs. Wensil is survived by her husband, Ray Wensil; daughter, Sheliah Stowe and husband Roy of Kannapolis; two grandsons, Chad Stowe and wife Christy and Chris Stowe; and great grandson, Noah Stowe.
