Glenn Watesal Deal

Glenn Watesal Deal, 82, of 303 E. 10th Street, Kannapolis, died Sunday, October 23, 2005, at Avante at Concord. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robert D. Howard will officiate. Interment will follow at the VA National Cemetery in Salisbury with military honors conducted by the US Army. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at their respective homes. Born November 18, 1922, in Alexander County, Mr. Deal was a son of the late Jim Blaine Deal and Julia Harrington Deal. He retired several years ago from Cannon Mills, Plant One. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Mary Lou Grubb Deal, preceded him in death on May 10, 1991. Survivors include his son, James Neill Deal of the home; a sister, Lucille Bowles of Kannapolis; a brother, Elboyd Deal of Kannapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
