Gloria Maria Rivera Estela

Gloria Maria Rivera Estela, 74 of Salisbury, NC was called home to join Our Lord And Savior in his Heavenly Kingdom on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

Gloria was born in Catano, Puerto Rico on March 23,1948. She was a daughter to the late Justino Rivera and Teresa Rios. She was a strong woman with an amazing heart who worked very hard and made many sacrifices. She never thought of herself before thinking of her children. She was a mother, a wife, a seamstress, a carpenter, an amazing cook, protector, our Beautiful Queen of Queens, Our Angel, Our First love, Our Mami and to Many Grandma Gloria.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was predeceased in death by a son, Carmelo Rivera; two daughters, Diana Rivera & Virgen Estela; three sisters, Cecilia Rivera, Lourdes Rivera, Elba Rivera; and a brother, Mario Rivera.

She is survived by her husband, Julio Estela of Walden, NY; four daughters, Maritza Rivera Arzola (Luis Arzola) of Passaic, NJ, Blanca Rivera of Salisbury,NC, Carmen Rivera Dawkins (Ronald Dawkins)of Kannapolis, NC and Julia Estela of Springfield, MA; five sons, Juan Carlos Estela of Walden, NY, Carlos Juan Estela of Scranton, PA, Jose Estela (Jeanette Estela) of Salisbury, NC, Justino Estela (Makisha Estela) of Concord,NC , and Hector Estela (Evie Estela) of Kannapolis, NC; sister, Gladys Rivera of Caquas, PR; brother, Hector Rivera of Bayamon, PR; and a long list of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation is scheduled for 7 to 9:00 pm Saturday, September 10,2022 at Lady’s Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am Sunday, September 11,2022, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Luis Arzola will officiate. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.

In Honor of Gloria’s last wishes we request no black or dark clothing for her viewing or funeral. She wanted it to be bright and colorful with music filling the air.
