Goldie Keller Callicutt

Mrs. Goldie Keller Callicutt, widow of Harvey Wade Callicutt, a former resident of Kannapolis, Concord, Albemarle and New London, passed away at Genesis Elder Care of Mooresville, on Wednesday, April 7, 2004. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis. The Rev. Jim Bowen will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. Born February 16, 1909 in Burke County, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine C. LaFountain; a son, Charles R. Callicutt; a grandson, Chester O. Callicutt; and a brother, Floyd L. Keller. Mrs. Callicutt sold Luzier Cosmetics in the early 1940's, then demonstrated and sold Stanley Home Products in Stanly, Cabarrus, Rowan and Montgomery Counties until her retirement. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Carolyn H. Callicutt of Greenville, SC; a son-in-law, A. H. LaFountain of Brownstown, MI; a daughter, Phyllis C. Christenbury of Charlotte; two sons, Harvey D. Callicutt and his wife, Inge, of Davidson and Kenneth E. Callicutt of Mt. Gilead; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 301 Mt. Olivet Road, Concord, NC 28025 or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family of Mrs. Callicutt wish to thank the staff of Genesis Elder Care of Mooresville for their loving care during her last years.
