Goldie Elaine Troutman Wensil

Mrs. Goldie Elaine Troutman Wensil, 90, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Monday, April 3, 2017, at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church. Rev. Neal Jones and Mrs. Janice Wensil will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:15 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wensil was born April 19, 1926 in San Diego, CA. She was a daughter of the late Charlie Fitzgerald Troutman and Neva Marie Ellis Troutman. She worked for Cannon Mills as a spinner. Mrs. Wensil was a member of Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Wensil.

Mrs. Wensil is survived by two daughters, Shelia Kellis and husband Eugene and Marsha Morris, both of Kannapolis; sister, Esther Wensil; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church, 6001 Old Salisbury-Concord Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
