Grace Davis Jacobs

Mrs. Grace Davis Jacobs, 94, of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Rev. Tim McQueen will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Jacobs was born October 17, 1916 in Chesterfield, SC. She was the daughter of the late Vance Davis and Mary Hurst Davis. She worked as a spinner for Cannon Mills until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Jacobs. Mrs. Jacobs is survived by daughter, Jennie Jacobs Lingerfelt of Kannapolis; three brothers, John D. Davis and William J. Davis both of Kannapolis Floyd M. Davis of Florida; four grandchildren, Tammy Lefler, Beverly Eury, Gina Milam and Robert Lingerfelt, Jr.; seven great grandchildren and one great greatgrandchild.
