Greer Haywood Daugherty

Mr. Greer Haywood Daugherty, 87, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, January 29, 2024, at Lutheran Chapel Church. Rev. John Tucker will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Monday at the Fellowship Hall of Lutheran Chapel Church.

Mr. Daugherty was born July 18, 1936 in Rowan County. He was a son of the late Robert Haywood Daugherty and Erma Poplin Daugherty. He was a member of Lutheran Chapel Church. Mr. Daugherty formerly worked as a project manager for LaFave Construction and was a devout fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Roxie Overcash.

Mr. Daugherty is survived by his wife, Carolyn Buckwell Daugherty; two sons, Randy Daugherty and wife Tammy of China Grove and Jeff Daugherty of Charlotte; brother, Jerry Daugherty of Rockwell; and granddaughter, Kaci Daugherty.
