Guy Edwin Scott

Mr. Guy Edwin Scott, 78, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Yates will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 pm Friday, May 9, 2014 at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Scott was born on May 30, 1935 in Concord. He was the son of the late James Oswald Scott and Mary Bell Ross Scott. He was a US Navy veteran. Mr. Scott retired from Cannon Mills where he worked as a spinner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo Biggers Scott.

Mr. Scott is survived by his son, Jeffery Wayne Scott of Concord; three granddaughters, Mandy, Jessica and Tiffany Scott; eight great grandchildren; and two special friends, Sharon Burris and James Benjamin.
