Guy Francis Shaver

Mr. Guy Francis Shaver, 57, a loving husband, father and grandfather, of 2350 Penninger Road, Concord, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Don Greer will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. At other times, they will be at the home. Born January 1, 1950, in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Arnold P. Shaver and Montie Grovene Deese Shaver. He retired from Philip Morris on August 5, 2005, after 24 years of employment. He enjoyed working in his garden and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Shaver. Survivors include his wife, Donell Henry Shaver of the home; two daughters, Tammy E. Liberty and husband, Lucian, of South China, Maine, Alysia A. Moseley and husband, James, of Topsail Beach; two sons, David Lee Shaver and wife, Alice, of Rockwell, David L. Threatt and wife, Lisa, of Kannapolis; two brothers, Glen Shaver of Kannapolis, James Shaver of Princeton, Louisiana; and nine grandchildren, James Moseley, Jr., Karen Hill, Chariti Goodnight, Ashleigh Bergquist, Coty Liberty, Leigh Ann Shaver, Olivia Threatt, Evette Liberty and Brooke Moseley.
