Gwendolyn Delane Bowers Helms

Mrs. Gwendolyn Delane Bowers Helms, 58, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at her home in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Wayne Laney will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Gwendolyn was born May 3, 1965 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late David Press Bowers and Shirley Ann Wright Bowers. She was a member of World Christian Church in Kannapolis. She was a District Manager for Waffle House. She was a pet lover.

Gwendolyn is survived by her husband, Timmy Helms; three step-children, Timmy Helms, Jr. of China Grove, Samantha Scott and husband Robert Jr. of Concord and Hanna Morgan and husband James of China Grove; sister, Katherine Hancock of Kannapolis; two brothers, Robert Bowers and David Bowers, both of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Jason, Bentley, Faye-Ann, Jazmin, Heather and Lance; and numerous nieces and nephews.
