H. Kenneth Gibson

Mr. H. Kenneth Gibson, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Carolinas HealthCare System-NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 6:00 pm Friday, July 6, 2018, at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. Rev. Phil Goble Jr. and Dr. Steve Sells will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethpage Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5:30 pm Friday at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church.

Mr. Gibson was born June 2, 1946 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Huemore Gibson and Ellen Kirkley Gibson. He was a member of Blackwelder Park Baptist Church in Kannapolis.

Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife, Margaret Russell Gibson; two daughters, Sherry McCall and friend Dale of China Grove and Susan Johnson and husband Jody of Concord; two sisters, Dianne Smith of Mooresville and Kim Gibson of Kannapolis; brother, Benny Gibson of China Grove; five grandchildren, Kendra Sanders and husband Josh, Joshua McCall and wife Alicia, Taylor Hargett and husband Brandon, Bridget McCall and Shaun McCall and wife Kerri; and seven great grandchildren, McKenlyn, Daryn, Lillian, Adam, Alia, Anne and expecting Kortlyn.
