Harold Kenneth Overcash

Mr. Harold Kenneth "Kenny" Overcash, 90, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016, at his residence.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Liz Fisher will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church Cemetery in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Overcash was born December 30, 1925 in Rowan County, NC. He was the son of the late Hubert Kenneth Overcash and Laura Garver Overcash. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Overcash was a graduate of Kannapolis City Schools, Catawba College in Salisbury, and obtained his Master’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. He taught at Winecoff High School in Cabarrus County, and was a former Principal at Sun Valley High School in Union County and Mulberry Elementary School. He was an Administrator with the Iredell County Schools in Statesville. Mr. Overcash worked part-time with Lady’s Funeral Home throughout his life starting and following his high school graduation.

Mr. Overcash is survived by sister, Kathleen Ridenhour.
