Harold Thaddeus Wilkinson, Sr.

Mr. Harold Thaddeus Wilkinson, Sr., 82, of 6415 Rolling Hill Road, and formerly of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, VA. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Alden Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Enoch Lutheran Cemetery in Enochville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Wilkinson was born January 21, 1928 in Cabarrus County. He was the son of the late Bernard Wilkinson and Bessie Tucker Wilkinson. He was a farmer and also retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon Plant 1 in Kannapolis where he was a machinist in the machine shop. He was a member of St. Enoch Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Amelia Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson is survived by his wife, Mary Hunsucker Wilkinson and son, Harold Wilkinson of the home.
