Harry David Litaker

Mr. Harry David Litaker, 79, of 1580 Oakwood Avenue, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County in Kannapolis. A funeral service is scheduled for 7:30 pm Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rick Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Mr. Litaker was born December 2, 1929 in Kannapolis, NC. He was a son of the late William Clyde Litaker, Sr. and Janie McClurd Litaker. He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, William Clyde Litaker, Jr. Mr. Litaker is survived by his wife, Carol Cook Litaker; three daughters, Janet Campbell and Kathryn "Katie" Cushman, both of Kannapolis and Julie Lail of Asheville; son, David Litaker of Kannapolis; two sisters, Margie Allison of Lake Norman and Ruby Weiss of Radcliff, KY; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
