Hazel Morris Joines

Mrs. Hazel Morris Joines, 76, of 601 South Central Avenue, Landis, NC, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, June 28, 2002, at Landis First Assembly of God. Rev. William H. Coughlin will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 AM Friday at the church. Mrs. Joines was born October 26, 1925 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late James Morris and Lula Knight Morris. She retired from Corriher Mills and was a member of Landis First Assembly of God. Mrs. Joines was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Thomas Joines, and her daughter, Kathy Earlean Richardson. Mrs. Joines is survived by a step-son, Lloyd Joines, of Landis; sister, Mildred Axsom, of China Grove; two step-grandchildren, Crystal and Brandi Joines; and one step-great grandchild, Dakota Joines.
