Hazel Faye Mason

Mrs. Hazel Faye Mason, 69, of 2750 Penninger Road, Concord, died Sunday, October 17, 2004, at her home, following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Roger Bostic and the Rev. Harry T. Ferguson will officiate. Interment will follow at West Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born January 30, 1935, in Wilkes County, she was a daughter of the late Alton Walter Teague and Nancy Blevins Teague. She retired from the sheet department of Cannon Mills Company. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zeb Parks Mason; a son, Alvin Wayne Freeman; and a sister, Shelby Jean Dayvault. Survivors include four sons, Rev. Larry D. Teague, Randy Eugene Freeman and Frankie Dale Freeman, all of Kannapolis, and Michael L. Mason of the home; one sister, Verna Ruth Lewis of Gloucester, Virginia; two brothers, James H. Teague and Roy A. Teague, both of Kannapolis; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
