Hazel Daniel Reynolds

Hazel Daniel Reynolds, 92, of Greenview Drive, Kannapolis, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 208, at Kannapolis Church of God. The Rev. Sam Crisp and the Rev. James Griffin will officiate. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m Wednesday at the church. Born February 3, 1916, in Madison County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Toombs Russell Daniel and Delree Carithers Daniel. She retired from the sewing room of Cannon Mills, Plant One in Kannapolis. She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God for 71 years, where she was active in her Sunday School and the Women's Ministries. Her sons-in-law will remember her as a "grand" mother-in-law. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nedra Reynolds Benton; two sisters, Margaret Daniel and Lucille Allen; and two brothers, Granville Daniel and William Daniel. Survivors include her husband, William Thomas "Bill" Reynolds; daughter, Billie Reynolds Huffstetler and husband, Mike, of Concord; three sisters, Kathleen Daniel and Jewel Campbell, both of Kannapolis, Ruth Fortson, of China Grove; two brothers, Mauldin Daniel of Kannapolis, Jay Walter Daniel of Spring Hill, Florida; son-in-law, Randall Benton and wife, Ida, of Derby, Kansas; three granddaughters, Michelle Foster and husband, Mike, Elizabeth Ferriss and husband, Jon, all of Concord, Robin Nicole Benton of Monument, Colorado; and six great-grandchildren.
