Mrs. Hazel Fullam Russell, 80, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Morningside Assisted Living.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, December 12, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Coble will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 pm Friday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Russell was born on August 20, 1934, in China Gove. She was a daughter of the late Fred Monroe Fullam and Mary Swink Fullam. She is retired from the Rowan Salisbury School System. Mrs. Russell was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Salisbury.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford “Russ” Rayvon Russell, Sr.; son, Clifford Rayvon Russell, Jr.; and two sisters, Sue Fullam Eury and Barbara Fullam Bradshaw.
Mrs. Russell is survived by her daughter, Lisa Russell Moore and husband, John, of Huntersville; son, Mike Russell of Kennesaw, GA; two brothers, Carl Ray Fullam and wife, Pat, of AZ and Clyde Monroe Fullam and wife, Pearl, of Landis; four grandchildren, Haley, Holden and Amy Russell and Brooke Moore; and two great grandchildren, Tristan and Cheyenne Sober; and great-great grandchild, Bryleigh Ray Sober.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Western Carolina Chapter at 3300 Shamrock Road Charlotte, NC 28215.
