Helen Woods Earnhardt

Mrs. Helen Woods Earnhardt, 79, of 982 East 13th Street, Kannapolis, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Barnhill will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. Born June 19, 1927, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Horace N. Woods, Sr. and Evvie L. Harrington Woods. She attended Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church. She retired in 1991 from the overhauling department of Cannon Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin G. Earnhardt, who died April 14, 1986; and two sisters and four brothers. Survivors include two brothers, Clement Woods and wife, Ramona, and Jerry Woods and wife, Betty, both of Kannapolis; and a number of nieces and nephews.
