Helen Holcomb

Mrs. Helen Holcomb, 79, of 4845 Trinity Church Road, died Monday, January 2, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center. There will be a graveside service 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at Bethpage Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Don Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Holcomb was born March 7, 1926, in Waxhaw. She was a daughter of the late A.B. McManus and Bernice Godfrey McManus. She retired from Kmart as a sales associate. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Stephens Holcomb, Jr., on April 23, 1994. Mrs. Holcomb is survived by her son, Jeffrey Lee Holcomb and wife, Christie, of Kannapolis; sister, Rachel Eubanks of Maysville; and grandchildren, Kristi Holcomb and Lori Whitcomb.
