Helen Frances Lemons Mogofski

Mrs. Helen Frances Lemons Mogofski, 79, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at her home in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, January 25, 2019 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert Earnhardt will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday, January 24, 2019 and again from 1 to 1:45 pm Friday, January 25, 2019 prior to the service.

Mrs. Mogofski was born August 19, 1939 in Monroe. She was a daughter of the late Henry Leroy Lemons and Arney Ann Crump Lemons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tony Eugene Woodward; a brother, James R. Lemons; two sisters, Sarah Lambert and Polly Smith.

Mrs. Mogofski is survived by a son, Donnie Woodward and wife Sharon of Kannapolis; and four grandchildren. Others very special in her life were her friends, James Douglas, Odie Vinson and Ellie Hamby; her social worker, Marie Davis; the staff of Cabarrus County DSS; the staff and physicians of Atrium Health NorthEast; the staff of Cabarrus Hospice; and Tom, a DJ in Baltimore, MD.
