Helen Virginia Moore

Mrs. Helen Virginia "Ginny" Stirewalt Moore, 93, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, died Thursday, May 17, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Doug Hefner, chaplain for Rowan Regional Home Health and Hospice, will officiate. Special music will be provided by Paul Denson. Private interment for the immediate family will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of her daughter, Jane M. Ward, 724 S. Highland Avenue, Landis, with whom she made her home. Born March 12, 1914, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Alfred Stirewalt and Dora Mae Slough Stirewalt. She was a Kannapolis native for 93 years and was a housewife and mother. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her husband, John Ellis Moore, preceded her in death on November 22, 1971. Survivors include two daughters, Jane M. Ward and husband, Bill, of Landis, Nancy M. Williams of Kannapolis; a sister, Valda Gray Lampert of Kannapolis; one brother, H. B. "Dink" Stirewalt of Kannapolis; three granddaughters, Kimberly Dawson and husband, Scott of Kannapolis, Pamela Mesimer of Landis, Jennifer Plummer and husband, Kowalskie of Kannapolis; a grandson, Jeffrey Todd Williams and wife, Frances, of Goldsboro; five great-granddaughters, Kristin Mesimer of Landis, Jordan Mesimer, Wesleigh Mesimer, McKenna Mesimer and Danielle Mesimer, all of Kannapolis; and two great-grandsons, McClelland Williams and Addison Williams, both of Goldsboro.
