Helen Virginia Stewart Sides

Mrs. Helen Virginia Stewart Sides, 95, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Brookdale Concord Parkway in Concord.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Park. Pastor John Futterer will officiate.

Mrs. Sides was born April 19, 1930 in Landis. She was a daughter of the late Robert Major Stewart and Nellie Farrel Stewart. Being captain of her high school basketball team at Landis High School was one of her many joys, as well as playing golf, bowling, and tennis. She was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margie Stewart Kincaid and Gail Payne Lentz; and two brothers, Bobby and Jack Stewart.

Mrs. Sides is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sharon Brothers, Beth Kincaid Lett, Randy Payne, Mike Payne, and Charles "Chuck" Sides; and 17 great and great-great nieces and nephews.
