Henry Terrel Campbell's Obituary
Mr. Henry Terrel Campbell, 91, of Landis, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Kannapolis. Dr. Tom Cabaniss will officiate. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. The body will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
He was born October 19, 1919 in Iredell County. He was a son of the late Ransom Campbell and Hattie Patterson Campbell. Mr. Campbell retired in 2000 as a sales representative at Hilbish Ford with 40 years of service with the company. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kannapolis.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Kathryn Sloop Campbell; son, Michael Keith Campbell and wife, Anne of Charlotte; daughter, Tiffany Campbell Garcia and husband, Young of Kannapolis; a brother, Paul Campbell of Wilmington; and eight grandchildren, Alex Campbell, Andrew Campbell, Victoria Garcia, Sabrina Garcia, Gregory Garcia, Emily Lee, Michael St. Clair and David St. Clair.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the First Baptist Church of Kannapolis, 101 North Main Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078 in memory of Mr. Campbell.
