Mr. Henry Carlton Whittington passed away very peacefully, but unexpectedly, at his home on December 23, 2008. He was born in Concord, NC to the late Buford and Rachel C. Whittington. He was a graduate of Mooresville High School a Read Obituary
Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Whit. He was always my friend and IDOL. He was the kind of man every man wants and wishes to be. I worked for him at the fire department and loved every minute of the time I knew him.
To all the Whittington's and their friends. The community is sad and shocked at your loss. My thoughts and prayers all with you all. I regret that I will not be able to be present at the church or cemetary because I am unable to get anyone to sit with my daughter Christie over the holiday week-end. Regardless of the attendance please know I will be thinking of and praying for you all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family on your loss. I met Whitt at Mooresville Golf Course a couple years ago and played golf with him in the Tuesday and Friday golf matches. He was a first class guy and will be truly missed. May GOD give you comfort in the days ahead
