Mrs. Hettie Watts Litaker, 99, formerly of the Winecoff Community, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at the home of her daughter, Maxine Hodgens, in Snellville, Georgia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jim Bowen will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Born August 28, 1905, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late George W. Watts and Dora Jane Kimmery Watts. She retired several years ago from Cannon Mills, Plant One. She was the oldest member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Her husband, Tola James Litaker, Sr., preceded her in death in February 1976. Survivors include her daughter, Maxine Hodgens of Snellville, Georgia; two sons, Tola Litaker, Jr. of Kannapolis and G. W. Litaker of Suffolk, Virginia; six grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Memorials may be sent to Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 301 Mt.
