Hilda Puntch Wike

Mrs. Hilda Puntch Wike, 77, of Five Oaks Manor and formerly of Oakwood Villa Apartments, Kannapolis, died Monday, September 2, 2002, at Five Oaks Manor after three years of declining health and two months of serious illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, September 5, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Patrick W. Purdy and Rev. Sarah Weaver will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of a sister, Susie Jamison, 1006 Debbie Street, Kannapolis. Mrs. Wike was born October 5, 1923 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late James Bryant Puntch, Sr. and Mae DeMarcus Puntch. She was retired from Cannon Mills. Mrs. Wike is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Thompson of Somerdale, NJ; son, Michael W. Wike of China Grove; three sisters, Betty P. Moore, Edith P. Boger, and Mavourine "Susie" Jamison, all of Kannapolis; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Cabarrus County, P.O.
