Howard Bailey Hollar, Jr.

Howard Bailey Hollar, Jr., 69, of Rankin Road, Landis, died Monday, June 15, 2009, at Tucker Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Steve Beam will officiate. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Lady's Funeral Home. Born September 23, 1939 in Iredell County, he was the son of Howard Bailey Hollar, Sr. and the late Mary Morrison Hollar. He retired from Parkdale Mills, Inc. in Landis. Howard was a member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Billie Gregory Hollar, on November 19, 2008. Survivors include his son, Thomas B. Hollar and wife, Julie, of China Grove; two grandchildren, Bailey and Seth Hollar; father, Howard B. Hollar, Sr. of Kannapolis; and a sister, Joanne Beaver of Faith.
