Howard Hall Long

Mr. Howard Hall Long, 89, of 923 Hoke Street, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Five Oaks Manor. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Long was born November 25, 1916 in Davie County. He was a son of the late William K. Long and Dora McClamroch Long. He was a retired newspaper carrier for the Charlotte Observer and the Salisbury Post. He was a graduate of J.W. Cannon High School. Mr. Long is survived by a brother, Lucious "Luke" K. Long and wife, Sammie, of Kannapolis; many nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Wanda Ashworth.
