Hoyt Marshall Redmond

Mr. Hoyt Marshall Redmond, 81, died Friday, December 30, 2005, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, January 1, 2006, at New Hope Worship Center in Concord. The Rev. Gary A. Clouse and Dr. Tom Snipes will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Redmond was born July 27, 1924 in Iredell County. He was the son of the late Byrd M. Redmond and Allie Crater Redmond. He was retired from the insurance business as a salesman. He was a member of First Foursquare Church in Concord. He was the Valedictorian of his graduation class at Union Grove. Mr. Redmond is survived by his wife, Hilda Lee James Redmond; six children, Kevin Redmond of the home, Melody Proctor and husband, Rick, of Thomasville, Mark Redmond and wife, Kim, of Concord, Lisa Burleson and husband, Rick, of China Grove, Stephan Redmond and wife, Jody, of Kannapolis, Timothy Redmond and wife, Mitzi, of China Grove; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
