Imogene Williams

Our beloved mother, Imogene Chandler Williams, 81, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Big Elm Retirement Center in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Homestead Baptist Church. Rev. Mitch Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Tuesday at Homestead Baptist Church.

Mrs. Williams was born May 26, 1932 in Muscadine, AL. She was the daughter of the late Richard Chandler and Lessie Hill Chandler. She retired from China Grove Cotton Mill and formerly worked at Cannon Mills inKannapolis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Horace Roger Williams on May 18, 2002.

Mrs. Williams is survived by three sons, Douglas Williams and wife Debbie of Kannapolis, Roger Williams and wife Christine of Landis and Terry Williams and wife Beverly of China Grove, four grandchildren, Jennifer Rymer, Mendi Williams, Ashley Waldin and Zach Williams and one brother, Steve Travis Chandler and wife Jane of Tallapoosa, GA.
