Mrs. Inez Taylor Hodgens Harrington, 96, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Caremoor Retirement Center in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at in Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harrington was born March 10, 1921 in Yadkin County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Clarence Taylor and Ada Haga Taylor. She retired after 45 years of service in the Sheet Department of Cannon Mills. For many years, she was a member and faithful worker at Grace Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Ralph J. Hodgens and Ned E. Harrington; a daughter, Rhonda Harrington; three sisters, Erma Brown, Lois Brooks and Geneva Luther; three brothers, Jess Taylor, Oren Taylor, John Taylor; a great grandchild, Caroline Dahiya; and one great-great grandchild, Amelia Murdock.
Mrs. Harrington is survived by a daughter, Becky Middleton of Kannapolis; two sons, Jim Hodgens and Brenda of Kannapolis and Darryl Harrington and wife Kyleen of Salisbury; a sister, Virginia Allred of Siler City; nine grandchildren, Brad Walker, Suzanne Hilton, Kelly Murdock, Leigh Anne Filkins, Natalie Hurlbut, Gina Dahiya, Lori Russell, Jason Harrington and Tangie Williams; 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She will be remembered by her family and friends as a woman of strong faith and beautiful smile.
