Irene Brown Price

Mrs. Irene Brown Price, 83, formerly of Kannapolis, died Thursday, October 23, 2003, at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur, NC. A Graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2003 at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. Rev. Sarah Weaver will officiate. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Price was born October 25, 1919 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late Samuel Roy Brown and Laura McCachern Brown. She was owner and operator with Price Furniture Company. During World War II, she was the chief clerk at the Draft Board. She was very active in the Kannapolis History Association. She was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Price is survived by two sons, John M. Price of Rockwell and James H. Price, Jr. of Asheboro; one grandchild; and one great grandchild.
