Irene Cook Reid

Mrs. Irene Cook Reid, 90, formerly of Sides Avenue, Kannapolis, died Thursday, December 12, 2002, at Manor Care in Pinehurst, NC. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Eugene Frady will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Reid was born November 12, 1912 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Rymer Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Powell Reid, in August of 1993. Mrs. Reid is survived by her daughter, Dolores Hammill of Southern Pines, NC; three grandchildren, Kendra H. Knoernschild, Selena H. Shaw, and Albert Henry Hammill; eight great-grandchildren.
