Ivey Jean Carriker Brewer

Mrs. Ivey Jean Carriker Brewer, 75, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Services for Mrs. Brewer will be at a later date. Mrs. Brewer was born May 28, 1936 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Cullens Carriker and the late Allison Carriker. Mrs. Brewer is survived by her husband Benson E. Brewer; daughter, Tammy B. Hanson and husband, Bill of Carolina Beach; grandchildren, Shannon and Heather Fussell and great granddaughter, Savanna Kinnin all of Carolina Beach; sisters, Janet Green of Gastonia, Shelia McGee and Nellie Dulin both of Concord; brothers, Dewitt, Billy and Jim Carriker all of Concord and special niece, Vicki Proctor of Concord. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
