Jackson Grady "Jake" Howard

Mr. Jackson Grady "Jake" Howard, 93, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Liberty Lane Hospice House VAMC, Salisbury, NC.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, March 16, 2018, at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell. Rev. Steve Holshouser will officiate. Interment will follow with Masonic Graveside Rites provided by Allen Graham Masonic Lodge #695 A.F. & A.M. of Kannapolis where he was a member.

The family will receive friends from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Howard was born March 6, 1925 in Gastonia. He was a son of the late John Ralph Howard and Bessie Nix Howard. He worked as an Auto Body Repairman for Kings Auto Body Shop in Kannapolis for 50 years before his retirement. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served in World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife, Neva; brother, Joe; daughter, Linda Howard Muncy; and step-daughter, Margaret W. Morris.

Mr. Howard is survived by wife, Nina Phillips Howard; sister, Faye Howard Rodgers and husband, William of Kannapolis, grandchildren, Laura Muncy and Michael Muncy great grandchildren, Oliver and Charlotte and several step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren
