James Martin Allman

Mr. James "Jim" Martin Allman, 91, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Morningside of Concord in Concord.

A memorial service is scheduled for 6:30 pm Monday, September 15, 2025, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Greg Sloop and Pastor Forest Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:15 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Jim was born March 14, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant. He was a son of the late Raymond Allman and Anabell Kiser Allman. He was a member of Kannapolis Church of God. He retired from the military having served in the Navy and Marines. He later retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Landis where he was a mail carrier.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Nell Starnes Allman; grandson, Larry Sechler, Jr.; sister, Sarah Starnes; and his brother, Samuel Allman.

Jim is survived two daughters, Diane A. Karriker and husband Keith and Darnell A. Sechler and husband Larry, all of China Grove; sister, Mary Katherine Helms of Concord; sister-in-law, Tommie Allman; brother-in-law, George Starnes; and a great granddaughter, Grey.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to Morningside of Concord, 500 Penny Lane NE, Concord, NC 28025.
